Bucket of Hope / Junior Tour Events

The Bucket of Hope Junior Tour was started by Derek Schnarr to give the kids in Madison a chance to play some great golf courses and raise money for cancer research. In 2009, the Bucket of Hope raised over $100,000 to benefit the UW Carbone Cancer Center. Now the Wisconsin PGA Junior Foundation and The Bucket of Hope Tour have joined forces at a few junior events this summer. We are looking to donate even more money to cancer research this year. You will see these events marked on the entry form. These Junior Tour events will cost $50 for members and $65 for non-members. Proceeds from these events will benefit the UW Carbone Cancer Research center in Madison.

WPGA Junior Championship

The PGA Junior Championship is our biggest junior event of the year. In 2013, the event was moved to Milwaukee at Brown Deer Park and Dretzka Park. Brown Deer Park hosted a PGA Tour event from 1994-2009.

Juniors will play both courses in a two-day 36 hole event. Each Boy and Girl overall winner then qualifies for the national PGA Junior Championship. Our qualifier is for juniors ages 13-15 and 16-18.

Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Arkansas, will host both the Boys and Girls Junior PGA Championships in 2023. Both events will take place August 1-4, 2023. The 47th edition of each event will feature 156 players in a stroke play competition.
